EXAM PATTERN
Test Version
IELTS Academic, or IELTS for UKVI where the destination or visa route requires it
Listening
30 minutes, 40 questions across four recorded sections, plus transfer time on the paper-based test
Reading
60 minutes, 40 questions across three long academic passages, with no extra transfer time
Writing
60 minutes. Task 1 describes a chart, table, diagram or process in at least 150 words; Task 2 is a 250-word argument essay
Speaking
11–14 minutes. A three-part interview with an examiner: introduction, a long turn on a cue card, and a two-way discussion
Scoring
Band scores from 0 to 9 in half-band increments for each module, plus an overall band score

US occupational visa: overall 6.5 with 7.0 in Speaking · UK NMC: overall 7.0 with 7.0 in Listening, Reading and Speaking and 6.5+ in Writing · AHPRA Australia: 7.0 in each band

IELTS Orientation & Band Descriptors
How IELTS is scored and what each band actually describes, which band profile your destination requires, and a full diagnostic test to establish your current level in all four modules.
Listening
All four sections, from everyday conversation to academic monologue. Following signposting language, predicting answers, handling map, diagram and matching tasks, and avoiding the spelling and number errors that quietly cost bands.
Academic Reading
Skimming and scanning three long passages within 60 minutes. True/False/Not Given, matching headings, sentence completion and summary tasks, with explicit training on the paraphrase patterns IELTS relies on.
Writing Task 1 — Academic Description
Describing charts, tables, diagrams and processes: selecting significant features, grouping data sensibly, using accurate comparison language, and writing an overview that examiners can find.
Writing Task 2 — Argument Essay
Question types and how each changes your structure, building a clear position, developing paragraphs with genuine support, and the cohesion and lexical range that separate a 6.5 from a 7.0. Every submitted task is marked individually.
Speaking Parts 1, 2 & 3
Weekly one-to-one mock interviews covering all three parts, with targeted feedback on fluency and coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, and pronunciation — the module nurses most often need to lift to 7.0.
Grammar, Vocabulary & Pronunciation
The underlying language work that raises every band: complex sentence structures used accurately, topic vocabulary and collocation, natural stress and intonation, and correction of pronunciation patterns common among Nepali speakers.
Full Mock Tests & Band Feedback
Timed full-length mock tests under exam conditions, followed by a band-by-band report and a review session showing exactly where your marks are being lost.
